Brittany Northrup, LCSW began her professional journey working with children and adolescents in educational settings, which naturally led to her transition into social work. With a deep commitment to helping clients cultivate the skills necessary to achieve emotional security and self-sufficiency, Brittany strives to create an environment conducive to growth, healing, and self-empowerment. She is dedicated to helping clients embrace their individuality, navigate their roles within their communities, and develop a sense of belonging both within themselves and the world around them.

Brittany has extensive experience working with children, teens, and young adults, including those navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her work spans both educational and therapeutic settings, giving her a multifaceted understanding of the challenges these individuals face and how to provide tailored support.

Her initial experience with children with Autism began at Dancing Moose Montessori School in West Valley City, Utah, from 2008 to 2011, where she supported children in kindergarten through second grade and led specialized classes in Spanish and Physical Education. This role was pivotal in developing her expertise in Autism, as she implemented individualized strategies that helped students with Autism express themselves, engage with peers, and participate in academic and extracurricular activities.

Brittany’s work extended internationally and across different educational settings, where she continued to refine her approach to supporting neurodivergent students, particularly in addressing their emotional and sensory needs. She collaborated with colleagues to create more inclusive learning environments and developed best practices to help children with Autism thrive in social and academic contexts.

Additionally, Brittany’s role as a Behavior Technician (BT) with ABS Kids during the Covid-19 pandemic further enhanced her expertise in Autism. Working directly with children in home-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, she helped children with Autism develop self-regulation skills, improve communication with family members, and build confidence in daily tasks, while also supporting their emotional resilience.

Throughout her career, Brittany has been committed to fostering an environment where individuals can embrace their unique identities, manage anxiety and depression, and develop the necessary skills to navigate their world with confidence.
